Jobnet

What we have done for Jobnet
Scroll

Jobnet is a part of Memory Group, and with that one of the biggest recruitment companies of The Netherlands.

Besides marketing work, we were asked to optimize their website with a main focus on mobile.

What we did

  • Redesign website
  • Data research
  • Interaction Design
  • Strategy
  • Visual Design

To ensure that our designs were meeting the wishes and needs of visitors, we have focussed the first couple sprints on doing research. By using competitor analyses, keyword analyses and analytics, we have gained a perfect insight in the surf behavior of the target audience.

Research & Analyses

Research & Analyses

We have divided this project into 5 ‘sprints’, whereof the first 3 sprints were focussed on research. The outcomes of this research, gave us the opportunity to restructure the website properly and to make a content-calendar to write focus articles and increase the amount of website visitors.
This research showed us that the biggest group of visitors are visiting via mobile devices. This is the reason why it was important to focus on mobile design first.

Flowchart

Our UX-Designer has determined the new structure by the outcomes of the research. To make the structure visual, he has sketched a flowchart which shows which page should be leading to which page and what kind of interactions are possible.

In other words, the flowchart shows the new flow of the website. The way of navigating through the website is more clear and the visitors can find the right content faster than before.

Wireframing

After the research sprints were finished, we started with designing the wireframes. We had our focus on creating an optimal user experience on mobile devices. The mobile website should be intuitive and there should be a combination between esthetics, functionality and usability. With these points in the back of our mind, we have sketched the wireframes and tested our prototypes with the target audience to ensure that the mobile website was easy to navigate.

Visuals

After testing the interaction design with the target audience, we had multiple iterations and improvements. After this we started with designing the mobile website visually. Jobnet has a strict styleguide to keep in mind during designing. We have used these rules to paint in the wireframes and distinguish the primary, secondary and tertiary colors and interaction elements like buttons.
